Green Vanguard

The Green Vanguard initiative promotes transformative social and behavioral change through digital literacy, climate education, and sustainable agriculture in underserved communities of Ghana.

ACTIVITIES

Farm2Feed Program

The Farm2Feed Programme supports rural schools to enhance feeding, nutrition and practical learning by growing organic food (fruits and vegetables) in their own school backyard.

The Farm2Feed programme at the Stages School in Ayikuma currently provides vegetables and fruits for school feeding for 120 students and in future, proceeds from surplus produce will be used to provide school supplies.

Digital Literacy

We provide a gender-responsive program in digital literacy for youth, especially girls. We teach them about cyberbullying and how to build games through coding. So far, we have engaged 50 students and continue to expand our reach to empower more young individuals.

Climate Education

In addition to our digital literacy program, Green Vanguard has also engaged 100 students in climate education. Through interactive and informative sessions, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of climate change mitigation and empower students to take action in their communities. These efforts are part of our commitment to providing a holistic approach to education that equips young individuals with the knowledge and skills to create a sustainable future.
