About FEED Ghana
FEED Ghana is a youth-led nonprofit advancing education equity for underserved children and communities across Ghana through literacy, empowerment, and opportunity.
Together with friends, Paul suspended baskets of books from tree branches, inviting children to explore. What started as the Tree Library quickly grew into Libraries Without Walls, a volunteer-driven initiative that now reaches over 3,000 children annually with mobile literacy, digital learning, creative expression, and STEM programs. The program also supplies books to school libraries and trains teachers in underrepresented communities to strengthen early literacy.
The spark came when Paul met Precious, a 9-year-old girl who could neither read nor write. After six months of after-school tutoring, Precious had not only gained literacy skills but also newfound confidence in the classroom. Her transformation convinced Paul that this work had to reach more children.
From those tree libraries, FEED was born a movement to democratize education and remove barriers to learning for children and young people across Ghana.
Today, FEED has grown into a platform with three core programs: Libraries Without Walls, Aspire, and Green Vanguard all working toward one vision: a Ghana where every child has the chance to learn, thrive, and lead.
What began with one child, one tree, and a few books is now a growing movement led by communities, volunteers, and young leaders.

A world where education is equitable, inclusive, and transformative enabling communities to flourish and generations to rise with hope and purpose.

Equity
Every child and young person deserves the same chance to learn, regardless of background or circumstance.

Youth-Led
We trust in the creativity, leadership, and resilience of young people to drive lasting change.

Community-First
We place communities at the center because we believe solutions are owned and sustained by the people they serve.

Integrity
We are committed to transparency, accountability, and excellence in all we do.
To democratize education by breaking barriers of inequity, empowering communities, and creating opportunities for every child and young person to learn, thrive, and lead.

FEED works across more than 25 communities in 5 regions in Ghana, including the Greater Accra, Eastern, Central, Bono Ahafo, and Volta Regions. We partner with local schools, community leaders, and smallholder farmers to expand access to education, empower youth, and create sustainable development opportunities.
Through long-term engagement and community-driven programs, we are building models that strengthen education, nurture young leaders, and create lasting impact.
