Children cannot learn on empty stomachs. Green Vanguard links education, food security, and climate resilience cultivating school farms that nourish students and reinvest in learning.
Students learning climate action as part of their education journey
Aligned with FEED’s mission: every farm directly supports student learning
Our Mission
FEED believes that education does not happen in isolation. Communities cannot thrive if farmers struggle or the environment is degraded. Green Vanguard is our way of linking food security, health, and climate resilience directly to education.
“Every farm we cultivate is a classroom. Every harvest is a lesson in science, sustainability, and community.”

The Green Vanguard Model
We partner with schools and farmers to grow food on community-managed school farms, turning unused land into living classrooms.
Harvests directly strengthen school feeding programmes, improving nutrition and boosting classroom performance for hundreds of children.
Surplus produce is sold, generating income that funds school supplies, literacy programmes, and youth initiatives across FEED’s work.
Key Programme Areas
